Stevie Martin, a writer for Broadly, recently penned a personal essay that started with, “I orgasm in my sleep about three times a month, so I figured it was time to let everyone else in on my secret.”
Martin’s consistent sleep orgasms are factually supported by The Kinsey Report who surveyed over 11,000 people and found that at least 70% of females have sex dreams and that “5% of women had their first orgasm through dreaming at night,” according to Daily Mail. The Kinsey Report goes as far as to state that around 37% of women will experience a sleep orgasm by the age of 45.
So, are sleep orgasms real? Yes, and they seem to be dependent on your brain (not necessarily your genitalia).
