Women Can Write “Manly” Movies

It’s no secret that women are severely underrepresented in the film industry from all sides, but in the world of screenwriting, females are even more sparse. Want to meet a lady who’s changing how movies are written? We’d like to introduce you to Nicole Perlman.

Perlman, the first female writer ever credited in a Marvel Studios film (with her movie The Guardians of the Galaxy), was the subject of a wonderful Buzzfeed article on her rise to the top and the struggles she’s faced when getting there.
