This Woman Is Liveblogging From Her Science Lab to Prove an Important Point

Rachel Harding is a scientist at the University of Toronto and also the creator behind Lab Scribbles, a site she uses to live blog all the research she’s doing on Huntington’s disease.

“She hopes the transparency will encourage others in the field to collaborate with her, correct her when she’s wrong, and, most importantly, help bring science up to the speed of the internet age,” explains Brian Resnick for Vox.

Through Lab Scribbles, Harding wants to move science away from traditional publishing and make the process more open, in hopes that it would ultimately benefit the scientific process of finding cures for certain diseases.

Harding is also bringing female scientists into the forefront, where they belong. We can’t wait to see where her research goes!
