What Do You Wish You’d Known Before You Got Your Period?

I remember getting my first period pretty vividly ;it was the summer right after fifth grade. Sure, I had read The Care and Keeping of You that every mother seemed to give their daughter, but nothing could have prepared me for actually seeing my period for the first time.

 

BuzzFeed asked people what they wish they had known about their period prior to the first time they got it. People were able to submit their comments through email, Facebook, and Reddit. The video, which includes humorous clips, reminded me of everything I worried about when I first got my period. The number one thing that I wish I had known is that nobody can see your pad. Watching the video and now knowing everything that was said in it, I feel like a period pro!
