Yesterday, Emma Gray and Damon Dahlen at The Huffington Post published a piece that shared the stories behand the sexual health choices of 15 women. However, this was not just any article; it was a story told by photographs and quotes. Gray introduced the piece by sharing her personal story of contraception, stating that over the last 10 years, she has used five different forms of birth control. She writes how it is empowering to be in control of one’s reproductive health.
Women were photographed in bed with their method of contraception. Some opt for condoms, while others utilize the pill. Some women have been using the same birth control method since the beginning, while others have had to go trial-and-error to see what works best with their bodies. Each woman has her reason for why this method is best for her.
This piece is incredibly important as it puts emphasis that it is important to know of contraception and learn the best method for her individual body to prevent pregnancy. With so many options of contraception, there is a method for everyone.
