A 22-year-old jewelry designer in London found inspiration for her latest collection thanks to the symptoms her period elicited.
“The irritability and anxiety that I felt was stopping me from being able to think of ideas for a jewelery collection, so I decided to start by replicating these PMS symptoms into jewelery to get me started,” said Lili Murphy-Johnson.
That initial brainstorm led to the culmination of a collection that is inspired by three different aspects of a woman’s period — PMS, menstruation products and blood.
As Murphy-Johnson told Mashable, a hope would be that this collection helps in the fight against making menstruation less taboo.
