Character Counts recently released its list of 48 People of Character to be featured in their 2016/2017 planner. The company creates planners for students of all ages and features inspiring individuals and their stories.
When looking through this year’s list, I was honored to find my name along with the names of several other amazing sheroes. Here are a few of the inspiring women who will be featured in the planner.
Audrey Hepburn
This iconic actress was a UNICEF ambassador who traveled to 20 countries. Throughout her journey, she met several children who struggled to survive and shared their stories with the world.
Maria Keller
This amazing teen created a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting literacy. She kindly gifts books to at-risk youth and works to spread her project all around the world.
Wilma Rudolph
This athlete and shero gave women’s track a major presence in the United States. Along with her personal success, Rudolph gives back by coaching underprivileged youth free of charge.
It’s clear that next year’s planner will spotlight many sheroes. Check out the full list here.
