Nine West Thinks Women Only Do Two Things

File this under “PR disaster”: Nine West just launched a new web design for its fall collections, and they claimed that there are only two “shoe occasions” for women: finding a husband and taking your kids to school.

Not only is it obviously offensive to put women into just two (very limiting) categories, but the entire Nine West fall campaign revolves around a “husband hunter,” a desperate women trying to make a killing when finding a husband. Are you cringing yet? Because we’re definitely facepalming right now.

Here’s the thing: Women typically don’t want to feel like man-eaters on the prowl when they’re out in the world; they want to look fashionable. And a lot of times, women don’t wear clothing to find and satisfy a man; they just want to feel good.

Take note, Nine West. We’re pretty disappointed.
