New Findings Show a Surprising Connection Between Netflix and Your Sex Life

In this modern sexualized world, that “Netflix and Chill” meme has a meaning unto its own: That “chill” is code word for sex, much like it’s predecessor, “hanging out.”

After reading this graphic on Fast Company, I realized something; sex and Netflix, or Netflix and relationships, are connected. People are more attractive to others based on the shows they watch. About 58% of people surveyed say that what add to their queues are designed to attract a mate. Netflix has the data to back up those claims. Apparently engagement and committed relationships go hand-in-hand with the sharing of a Netflix password; 51% of people surveyed believe that sharing a relationship mean that the relationship is committed.

Netflix has turned into a bonding activity for couples; it’s a new date night option, if you will. This is the cyber age—we shouldn’t be surprised that our beloved Netflix has made it into our sex lives.
