Keke Palmer Crowned New Cinderella on Broadway

We’d like to give a shout out to Keke Palmer, who was recently tapped to become the next Cinderella on Broadway.

In addition to it being just an incredible honor to be the lead in the Broadway production, there’s a special caveat to why this young star is so special: Keke Palmer is also the first African-American woman to play the role on Broadway.

Palmer had this to say about the special announcement:

“It’s honestly one of those things that I can’t believe is really happening. I’m very excited. Very excited and nervous as well – a bunch of feelings all at once.”

Congrats to Keke Palmer, and we wish we could see you in the show! Hopefully it’s a welcome change for Broadway, where more diverse actors and actresses are considered for any given role.
