Jen Lewis Is Turning Her Period Blood into Art

The idea of normalizing menstruation is (thankfully) becoming more commonplace everyday, but one artist is taking the concept to a whole new level.

Artist Jen Lewis has created a photography series called “Beauty in Blood” with her husband, where she uses period blood as her artistic medium of choice and experiments with the abstract qualities of periods.
