ICYMI: Amandla Stenberg is incredible. She’s brilliant and articulate and she is my role model even though she’s six years younger than me. Last week, she took over the Teen Vogue Snapchat and laid down some serious knowledge about being a “black, bisexual woman,” a move that’s courageous and important and proves why she’s considered a role model to so many people.
This also isn’t Stenberg’s first song and dance with being public about her identity and teaching other young people about self-esteem and intersectional feminism, either. Even cooler: She, along with her friend and fellow actress Rowan Blanchard, were named the 2015 Feminist Celebrities of the Year.
She is a powerhouse feminist, and I am so excited to see how her life unfolds.
