I got my period but I’m flat chested, all my friends have boobs. When will mine come?

No one can say exactly when you are going to grow – in height or in bra size. Everyone goes through these changes at her own pace.

Most girls have at least a little breast growth before they get their period for the first time. Some girls have a lot of growth – so much that they are pretty much their adult bra size before they ever get their period. Others will see their body change proportions very gradually over many years, and so they may look pretty flat when their period first starts but eventually they will become bustier. And then there is a group of girls who have small breasts when they get their periods for the first time, and their breasts stay pretty small through adulthood. It’s all normal.

Because there is so much variation in what happens and when it occurs, it is impossible to say how your particular body will change. But one thing is for sure: there are no exercises you can do to make your boobs bigger, no medicines you can take, and no tricks you can try. Your breast size is going to be what it is going to be – the goal is to accept it and learn to love yourself for who you are.
