BuzzFeed is covering Mental Health Week from every possible angle this week, and in its effort to be inclusive, there’s a piece dedicated to postpartum depression.
Recently, talk of postpartum depression made headlines when Hayden Panettiere decided to check in to rehab for postpartum depression after having her first baby. While in many cases new mothers cannot afford (financially or time wise) to take an extended period off to check in to rehab, there are still ways that a new mom or those around her can check in to make sure she’s alright.
BuzzFeed’s article includes 13 items on a list titled, “13 Things To Do For Your Friend With Post-Natal Depression.” The BuzzFeed platform will hopefully go a long way in breaking the taboo around discussing postpartum depression.
