Since High School Musical, Monique Coleman has dedicated her life to being an activist. She’s the founder of an organization called GimmeMo’, which is dedicated to empowering individuals. Along with that, Coleman has gotten involved in several other causes. From posts on her Instagram with tips for a healthy lifestyle to being a GirlUp Champion, Coleman strives to help others in every way that she can. She especially believes in and invests in young people, and hopes to someday change the world.

 

2. Demi Lovato

After overcoming personal struggles, Demi Lovato has become a spokesperson for a campaign called Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health. She even took her work to Washington to spread awareness to lawmakers and advocate for mental health reform. Her ability to be vulnerable has already made such a difference in the lives of so many.

 

3. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has been known to be extremely giving towards her fans. From inviting fans into her home to helping one fan pay off some of her college debt, Swift always finds a way to give back. Recently, she donated $50,000 to the nephew of her backup dancer who was battling cancer.

 

4. Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer’s dad currently stays in an assisted living facility as he continues to fight his battle with Multiple Sclerosis, or MS. Inspired by her personal experience, Schumer is committed to the MS movement and has raised over $176,000 and serves as an Honorary Board member for the National MS Society in New York City.

 

5. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez was named UNICEF’s youngest ever Goodwill Ambassador in September of 2009. Since then, she has traveled to Ghana and Chile with the organization and even organized two charity concerts for the organization.

 

6. Angelina Jolie Pitt

Angelina Jolie Pitt has done some major work with the United Nations Refugee Agency. In April 2012, High Commissioner Antonio Guterres appointed her a Special Envoy, giving her an expanded role in which she was able to focus on large-scale crisis and truly make an impact on the world.

 

7. Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys in the co-founder of an amazing organization called Keep a Child Alive, an organization dedicated to stopping AIDS by tackling the physical, social and economic impacts of HIV. Her organization is even hosting a charity gala this Thursday. Her ongoing commitment to her organization and her cause is absolutely inspiring.
