This Web Series Gives You the Lowdown on the History of Menstruation

Check out this new web series, Period Piece!

Period Piece is described as a “series about women in different periods of history…having their periods.” Videos on Period Piece cover topics from the use of period blood as perfume in 18th Century France, to the humiliation of buying menstrual products in New York in the 1920s. The series is witty, tongue-in-cheek, and silly without being cloying.

The creator of Period Piece, Liliana Tandon, “hopes that these videos will help to remove the stigma from periods” and make people who menstruate more comfortable and accepting towards having their period.

“After all, none of us would be here without it,” says the Period Piece website.
